Ducati Streetfighter V2: Naked Power Meets Urban Style

Looking for a bike that blends aggressive performance with agile street-style? The Ducati Streetfighter V2 delivers exactly that. Built for riders who want the thrill of Ducati’s superbike lineage, without the full-fairing commitment, it stands out as a top choice in India’s sports-naked segment.

1. Engine &-Power

At its core, the Streetfighter V2 houses a 955 cc Superquadro V-twin engine. It produces 153 hp at about 10,750 rpm and 101.4 Nm torque at 9,000 rpm. This engine gives enough muscle for fast accelerations, yet remains manageable in traffic and twisty roads. It’s paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring Ducati Quick Shift (up/down), for smoother upshifts and downshifts.

2. Lightweight Chassis & Handling

Weighing in with a dry weight of 178 kg, the Streetfighter V2 is noticeably lighter than many fully faired bikes, which helps with nimbleness and maneuverability. Ducati uses a monocoque aluminium frame with the engine acting as a stressed member. The single-sided swingarm, wide handlebars, and revised geometry (52% front / 48% rear weight distribution) improve the riding posture and give better control, especially around corners and in tight urban conditions.

3. Suspension & Brakes

The front suspension is a fully adjustable 43 mm Showa BPF fork, and the rear uses an adjustable Sachs mono-shock. Both ends allow tuning for preload, rebound, and compression where applicable. Tyres are Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV with a 120/70-17 front and 180/60-17 rear set-up. Braking is handled by twin 320 mm discs up front with Brembo M4.32 calipers, and a 245 mm disc at the rear. Cornering ABS ensures confidence during aggressive riding.

4. Electronics & Rider Aids

Modern street riding demands smart tech, and the Streetfighter V2 doesn’t disappoint. It has a 6-axis IMU platform that manages multiple aids: cornering ABS, traction control, engine brake control, wheelie control, riding modes (Sport / Road / Wet) with power mode adjustments. The full LED lighting with a sharp V-shaped DRL (inspired by Ducati’s “grin” styling) and a 4.3-inch TFT colour display add both style and functionality.

5. Price, Practicality & Ownership

In India, the Streetfighter V2 is priced around ₹ 17.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Service intervals are every 12,000 km or 12 months, with valve clearance checks around 24,000 km, which helps with maintenance scheduling. For many riders, it offers strong value: a high-performance naked sport bike that’s usable on daily rides, weekend ripping, and everything in between.
