Ducati DesertX: India’s Ultimate Adventure Bike

If your idea of riding means chasing horizons, rough trails and roads leading to nowhere, the Ducati DesertX is built for you. With its rugged styling, robust engineering, and advanced rider technology, this adventure motorcycle blends performance and versatility like few others in its class.

1. Power & Engine

At the heart of the DesertX lies a 937 cc Testastretta 11° L-twin engine. This motor produces an impressive 110 horsepower and 92 Nm of torque, tuned to deliver smooth acceleration both on highways and challenging off-road conditions. Lightweight construction ensures better handling, while the 6-speed gearbox keeps performance refined and responsive.

2. Off-Road Chassis & Suspension

The DesertX is a true off-roader at its core. It comes with long-travel suspension—230 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear—providing confidence over uneven terrain. With a 250 mm ground clearance and spoked wheels (21-inch front and 18-inch rear) wrapped in dual-purpose tires, this motorcycle is engineered to tackle dirt, gravel, and tarmac with equal ease.

3. Ergonomics & Comfort

Adventure riders need flexibility, and the DesertX is designed to deliver. Its seat height of 875 mm allows commanding visibility, while the ergonomics make transitions between seated and standing riding smooth and natural. A 21-litre fuel tank ensures long rides, with the option to extend range through an additional auxiliary tank accessory—perfect for serious explorers.

4. Technology & Rider Aids

This motorcycle combines raw strength with advanced technology. Riders can choose from six riding modes, including Enduro and Rally, specifically designed for off-road scenarios. Features like traction control, cornering ABS, wheelie control, quickshifter, and engine brake control provide a safe yet thrilling experience. All data is displayed on a vertical 5-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity.

5. Pricing & Value

In India, the Ducati DesertX is priced competitively in the premium adventure segment. Riders can also opt for the DesertX Discovery variant, which comes equipped with a touring windscreen, crash protection, heated grips, and additional rugged accessories for long-distance touring and tough conditions.
